Raecoon Cattery Maine Coon Cats
Established in 2022, RaeCoon Cattery is a small veterinarian-owned Maine Coon cattery located in Columbus Ohio. We are delighted to offer Maine Coon kittens to responsible pet owners. I became interested in breeding Maine Coon kittens because I love everything about the Maine Coon breed including their large size, gorgeous coats, loving personalities, and great dispositions with people and other pets. All of the Maine Coon kittens are born and raised in my home as a part of the family. The adults follow me around and love my two Italian Greyhound dogs. Each Maine Coon kitten stays with us until they are 12 weeks of age to ensure proper socialization, development, and individual attention as we are firmly dedicated to the health and welfare of these majestic cats. The cattery is closed to outside breeding and affiliated with a limited number of select breeders specializing in Maine Coon cats from the highest pedigrees. As a small Maine Coon cattery, we will only have 2-3 litters per year and the majority of the Maine Coon females will only be in the breeding program for an average of a few years. As a veterinarian with over 30 years of experience, I take breeding Maine Coon cats as a serious responsibility and seek to produce Maine Coon cats with the best health and temperament. The Maine Coon adults have had genetic testing and are negative for all of the diseases that are tested for in these panels, such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Polycystic Kidney Disease, and Spinal Muscle Atrophy. The goal of Maine Coon cat breeding isn’t to produce more Maine Coon kittens, it is to advance the Maine Coon breed, produce the best Maine Coon progeny, and expand the Maine Coon lines.
Our Maine Coon cattery is registered with the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA ) and the Maine Coon kittens come with registration papers for pet only. They will leave with a contract, health check, two sets of vaccines, deworming, and a Maine Coon kitten file with care advice. I love to stay in touch with our Maine Coon kittens once they are in their new homes and I am always willing to offer advice and support as needed.
